Impact MBA earns Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Award

The CSU College of Business’ Impact MBA Corporate Sustainability Fellowship Program earned a silver award in the North American region in the prestigious Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Awards 2022.

This is the second time the Impact MBA has been recognized by the Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Awards. In 2020, the Impact MBA received a silver award for sustainability education globally.

“The Corporate Sustainability Fellowship Program truly embodies the College’s Business for a Better World vision,” Kathryn Ernst, Impact MBA director, said. “We’re proud to be equipping students with the skills needed to lead sustainability initiatives and create lasting change. This recognition is a reflection of our innovative approach and commitment to showing students that business can truly be a force for good.”

This year’s silver award is the culmination of an eight-month process and five rounds of judging, during which programs were assessed based on their project approach, project engagement and project impact. The annual awards “reward innovative approaches that enhance student learning outcomes and employability,” Reimagine Education’s website says.

The Impact MBA’s award application focused on the Corporate Sustainability Fellowship Program’s ability to nurture employability, including how it improves salary, job placement and student competence.

All students take part in the 400-hour paid fellowship program, which allows them to put their cutting-edge skills into practice before they graduate. Students are matched with large companies like PepsiCo, local nonprofits like the Food Bank of the Rockies and governments like the City of Fort Collins.

The award-winning Impact MBA also was recently ranked No. 4 “Better World MBA” nationwide and No. 20 worldwide by Corporate Knights.
